Thibaud, Florida and New York Committees Valentine's Fundraisers tripple Sucesses.
Saturday February 16th, brought out the romantic side of all who attended Thibaud reunion Valentine's
dinners in South Florida, New York and Thibaud.
The Thibaud event which was held in the primary school, was sold out despite the price tag of
$50 per ticket. All in attendance raved about the service, food, drinks an of course the entertainment. They all
danced the night away into the wee hours of the morning.
In New York, the atmosphere was very Manhattan chic, with spalshes of red everywhere. Pearl Canoville Douglas
opened up her home and her heart to all who came to support the New York Committee's education fundraising efforts. The group
dined on hors d' ouvres and dinner and toasted the night with top shelf as well as sexy drinks. The Dominican DJ mixed a combination
of Dominican and popular music and the guests were treated to a multi media presentation of photos of the children
and school in Thibaud.
There was also a great turnout at the home of Roslyn Lockhart in Hollywood, Florida, where a large group
showed their support and enjoyed the wonderful romantic evening. The tone was set and everyone came to "just have a great
time". There were lots of food, drinks and the never dissapointing musical entertainment.
Hundres of dollars were raised in all locations and the monies will go towards the goal of improving
our community.
The Thibaud Reunion Committees would like to thank all who supported the cause, those who could not attend
but sent in a donation, Thank you all.

Upgrades in Thibaud are on the way
Jolly LeBlanc, a Thibaudite living in Roseau, and the main engineer on one of the government projects
in Thibaud, has reported that the main water supply project has completed and the road resurfacing project is well on the
way. New water supply pipes were added and they have been tested to be more reliable and safe than the pre-existing metal
pipes. According to Mr. LeBlanc the pipes will last a lifetime and it will make the water supply more powerful as well
as safer with no lead.
Another team is now concentrating on resurfacing all the roads in Thibaud, widening them as well
as implementing proper drainage. This project should be completed by the end of the month.
This will help beautify the village, and help in our rebuilding Thibaud efforts. This project was slated
for Thibaud long before reunion plans were made public, However we are pleased with it coinciding with our Reunion agenda.

EASTER PARTY IN FLORIDA
SOUTH FLORIDA GROUP WILL HOST AN EASTER DANCE ON MARCH 22ND AT THE FORT. LAUDERDALE WOMEN'S CLUB. TICKET ARE $15.00 DOLLARS.
THEIR WILL BE PERFORMANCES BY THIBAUD'S OWN REIGN JAH BAND FROM THE NEW YORK GROUP. A LITE CATERED MENU WITH FOOD SUCH AS
PALEU, SOUSE, AND GOAT WATER AND DRINKS WILL BE ON SALE FOR THE EVENT. THE EVENT WILL BEGIN AT 10 PM.

St. Marteen's upcoming meeting
All in the St. Marteen area are asked to come and support the reunion committee. They will be having a meeting
at Carib Lumber ball field on the 24th of march 5pm. This is for a great cause and they need your help. At the meeting
their will be discussions about the various projects the St. Marteen group wants to work on.
